Medium: Acrylic, synthetic polymer paint on linen
Painted on Belgian linen, primed by hand in my studio, in Matisse artist-quality acrylics rated to the archival standard, so the colour holds for generations.
Atlantic Jewel started eleven times and won ten. Eight of those wins came in a row.
Her only defeat was the Underwood Stakes in 2013, beaten a tenth of a length by It's A Dundeel, and it took a horse of that quality to do it.
Four Group Ones: the 1000 Guineas, the All Aged Stakes, the Caulfield Stakes and the Memsie Stakes. She won just under $1.6 million.
This work has found its home. If you would like a painting of your own horse, I take on a small number of commissions each year. See how a commission works.
