As the sun dips below the horizon, it casts a rose gold glow over the gentle spirit that is my beloved mare, Chilli Rose. This painting captures not just her beauty, but it serves as a heartfelt reminder of the fleeting moments we have. Every sunset urging us to take a moment to cherish each day, to pause now and then to soak in the beauty surrounding us.

Life is a series of moments that evolve into memories. Just as the light dances across Chilli Rose’s coat in the fading glow, let us slow down.

Let us hold those memories gently, for they lay the groundwork for our present. Ultimately, life is a masterpiece waiting to be painted—one day, one sunset at a time.

Throughout our lives, we encounter myriad joys and struggles, moments of triumph and instances we’d rather forget. Yet, every phase plays a vital role in shaping our identity, guiding us on our unique journey. Time is a relentless force—one that cannot be bought or bribed.

In this painting, I aim to capture that profound complexity: the beauty found in acceptance, the grace in letting go, and the strength it takes to celebrate all parts of our story. Even the versions of ourselves we might wish to erase or overlook are essential brushstrokes in the larger picture of our lives.

Creating a painting for Elizabeth in the Ras Al-Khaimah City in the United Arab Emirates has been a true honor. With the horse world being so large and enriched in the culture here, it is such an inspiration to create a large piece showcasing the three horses in all their beauty and glory. This project has allowed me to delve into the rich history and tradition of the equestrian world, and I am grateful for the opportunity to capture the essence of these majestic creatures.
